ABOUT ME
As a former educator, grant writer, and legal practitioner, I’ve seen how storytelling affects social change in a variety of formats and spaces. Those narratives can either build a world for all or a select few. I’m committed to storytelling that fosters communities where everyone thrives, no matter their identity.
My LinkedIn.
The power of stories has also impacted me personally. As a queer, nonbinary Latine with disabilities, I’ve experienced the dangers of inaccurate and harmful narratives firsthand. That’s why I’m committed to amplifying voices from communities like mine.
SERVICES
Story Consultation
I work with screenwriters, directors, and producers to ensure that narrative or technical aspects of their projects are accurate, inclusive, and humanizing. I am available to consult on stories related to LGBTQ+, disability (with a focus on psychosocial disabilities), Mexican-American, immigrant, and border communities.
Workshop Facilitation
I facilitate interactive workshops related to creating inclusive and equitable spaces for LGBTQ+ and disability communities. I provide organizations with the tools to implement practices on individual or systemic levels. Workshops are always tailored to my client’s needs.
Technical Writing
I am available for consultations to ensure that an organization’s internal policies, procedures, and forms are inclusive and accurate. I also consult nonprofits in storytelling skills and strategies for grant applications, particularly for emerging and grassroots nonprofits.
